As part of Highway Media’s big move back up to Northern California, we have moved in with our friends at the Red Rock Recording Co., in Mountain View.

RRRC is a non-profit extension of Red Rock in downtown Mountain View, the best independent cafe on the peninsula. The RRRC is a recording studio and home to many independent musicians in the south bay, and is now home to the sprawling, equipment-laden enterprise that is Highway Media.

Okay, so we don’t really have that much equipment, and our new home is a smallish, industrial strip mall a few doors down from Google, and a few feet from Highway 101, but it’s home baby. And, the proximity to all our songwriting / musician friends provides a great synergy for creating background music and soundtracks.

The studio is cozy, but after a recent paint job and light remodel, it is a post-Ikea wonderland of muted tones and soothing, creative furniture. After some of the offices we’ve been in, we’re just happy to have running water and indoor plumbing. A big thank you goes out to Ryan Kingsmith and the folks at RRRC for carving out a space for us. Thank you to Chad and Kristi for their wondrous feng shui.
